As most of you know, Sophia was extremely moved last year when delivering a hamper to a family in need at Christmas. As a result of this experience, she began producing sock puppets to raise money for a children’s charity. Through Sophia’s Auntie Kathy and Uncle Yves in Montreal, Sophia became aware of “Project Kaki”. The purpose of this initiative is to supply school uniforms to children in need in Benin, Africa. While education is free, the children are required to wear a uniform. It seemed unbelievable to Sophia that some families could not afford the $15 to clothe their children.
